ABOUT ME

Kristina D.jpg

Kristina Dillon is a junior in Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications located in Ithaca, New York. She is working towards an B.A. degree in journalism and a minor in politics. Kristina is from Cape Cod, Massachusetts where she grew up as an only child with a single mother. From a young age she learned curiosity, confidence, and a passionate work ethic are key qualities to have.

She has always loved to learn and has discovered she excels at and enjoys writing, communications, and public speaking. Kristina has an improving speaking proficiency in French, works well with Microsoft Office software, is knowledgeable about video and audio editing using the online Adobe Premiere Pro software, and is working at college to expand her skills shooting video. She's participated in Ithaca College Television since arriving on campus and is currently an anchor for Good Day Ithaca and Election Center, host of the long-form investigative magazine show ICTV Reports, and a content producer for NewsWatch Sunday. She also works as a tour guide for Ithaca's Office of Admissions and in retail off campus.

While in high school, Kristina was a member of the National Honor Society and varsity debate team, along with being involved in the school's competition show choir and theater program. She decided to pursue a career in journalism towards the end of high school because she loves to connect with others and prioritizes sharing truth through writing and multimedia in the world's current climate. Following her college graduation, she plans to work as a reporter and/or anchor for a local news station anywhere around the country, which will hopefully allow her to travel and engage with different communities.
